Navitimer
Location: >>Breitling>>NavitimerThe Navitimer was launched in 1952 to allow pilots the luxury of possessing a wrist based instrument. The Navitimer (the name coming from its two functions of Navigation and Timer) incorporated a slide rule that was marketed as a “navigation computer”. The circular slide rule was capable of performing all of the calculations needed for a flight plan and was an instant success.
The Navitimer went on to become the official watch of the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA). Since the original ‘806’ model of 1952, the Navitimer Chronograph has been in continuous production, unchanged in form, making it the world’s oldest model chronograph.
